I have not read anything like this before, it was like a good kung fu movie. We follow Takeo's journey from his destroyed village, discovering his talents and history, training and growing to a epic conclusion. I loved it, a character transition like a fantasy novel, great description setting the scene in feudal japan (or a country like it), love stories, loyalty and the human condition.
I originally bought the 3 hardback books because they were so beautiful, I am now looking forwad to the next 2 in the series.
