The Island of the Colourblind

Oliver Sacks

This one sat on my bookshelf for a long time. I think I was intimidated by the authors intellect. But he has such an engaging curiosity that you are caught up in the story. It is a glimpse into how a neurologist works. Their investigation and problem solving over many years, sometimes decades, their work with one another, their care for their patients.

This is also a story about islands, and cycads, and nature.

Very enjoyable, I will keep an eye out for more of his.
