I am so used to these old books about settlement and toughh times on the allotment being funny. This one was not, it had its moments, but certainly not like the other books I have read.

This one was beautifully written and we share the experiences of a wife bought to an outback Queensland station. Nice eploration of family life on the station. An upsetting view of how aboriginals were treated. But good to be aware of how things were.
