The Book Thief

I did not go looking for a book about the war. I have not read any I do not think. But the concept of the book thief got me. It was set in Nazi Germany in the second world war, but it was about a girl and a family and about love. I thought it was wonderful, engaging characters, at nearly 600 pages, it was hefty, but an easy read. Having death as the narrator and the wonderful character of Leisel. It was a story about humanity. It makes you smile, and makes you think.
