Sarah Murgatroyd

What a disaster, from the start, and yet these are the names in our history. We don't remember the successful, competant explorers in the rescue parties. It was good to actually read what happened, Sarah did a good job of piecing things together from various sources. From the royal society, land grabs by states in the new country, to individuals on the trek.

Very engaging tale and probably why it excited people of Melbourne, you can feel the general public's gossip and speculation.

Very sad for the men involved. Beautiful depiction of the Australian landscape and the aboriginal people.
