Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close

Jonathan Safran Foer

This is a beautiful book about loss and grief. Nine year old Oskar lost his Dad in 9/11 and this is a telling of his path through the grief. It reminded me of 'The Raw Shark Texts' in some aspects because of its sometimes unconventional writing and use of photos. It was effective, but regardless of that it is a very universal human story.
