Farming is Fun

A. Bertram Cox

Another op shop buy. The cover is horrible, but I love these farm life comedies.  First published in 1952 and set before the second world war. It is Bertram's accounts of his foray into farming in the Adelaide hills. He is a successful accountant and rather than keeping his money in the bank he decided to make it work for him... farming! There is no end to the challenges and some disasters. He approaches it with a sense of humour and the backing of the government sicientific knowledge. Good supporting cast of Australian characters and an easy read.
