Fyodor Dostoevsky

I thought I would try one of the bleak grand russian novalists. Bit of a hard slog for me, I would much prefer a Dickens or Hardy if I am reading classics. Dostoevsky has good characters, but I got confused with the multiple/different names. I really enjoyed the murder scene, that was powerful, I felt myself there with Raskolnikov, in his head and actions. It was a dramatic piece of writing. Sonia was a heartening character, but still a bleak life.
